“Jack” Whiteside Parsons (1914–1952) was a brilliant rocket scientist and follower of Aleister Crowley's magical system of Thelema. By day he was an early developer of NASA's space program—but by night Jack was secretly involved in a notorious magical community called Agape Lodge, whose members engaged in partner-swapping, mind-altering drugs, and occult rituals. It sounds like tabloid fodder, except that most of it was true. Join us, as we peer through the eyes of two members of his inner circle: Jane Wolfe and Phyllis Seckler, who went on to teach students after his mysterious death in 1952.
