Rape culture is the problem; a culture of consent is the answer. With dominant culture as the backdrop, rape culture is nearly comprehensively a feature of developing sexual identity. Coming from the shadow of dominant culture conditioning, we aren't told how to ask for, or offer, clear consent. In this workshop we will talk about consent; how to give it, how to ask for it, and how to play with the process of consenting in a fluid and integrated way. Workshop will be closed 10 minutes after start. Ages 13 and up welcome. Younger kids welcome with parent.

Invoking the Divine - Ritual Invocations
Invocations are a thread between human and the divine – and invocation is a skill that can be learnt and practiced. Effective invocations draw the presence of the Goddess, Deity or other being into the room, the ritual, and even into the person invoking. In this experiential workshop we will learn, step by step, what makes an effective invocation and practice these skills. Experiment with words, tone, pacing and volume as well as gestures, movement and that sense of imminence that is felt in the most powerful invocations. Bring along a Goddess, Deity or other presence you would like to invoke.

Regeneration: Becoming Earth Healers
With climate change and multiple crises, the earth is in dire need of healing, and our global culture needs to move from exploitation beyond sustainability to regeneration. Achaeologist Marija Gimbutas used to say about the ancient Goddesses of Old Europe, “Remember, it’s not about fertility, it’s about regeneration.” In this workshop, Starhawk weaves together Goddess magic and permaculture to help us deepen our knowledge and commitment to regeneration. We’ll aspect the ancient Goddess—and bring her wisdom to both practical tools and ongoing strategies to further our abilities as healers and advocates.

The Theurgy of Eros
Theurgy is the ritual process for communication with the Gods. Our Pagan ancestors used the power of Eros to ascend to Divinity, proceeding through initiatory stages of Purification, Illumination, and Divine Union. The process was outlined by Diotima, the Wise Woman in Plato's "Symposium," and further developed by the Neoplatonists. In this workshop I will describe the steps in the Ascent by Love from my recent book, "The Wisdom of Hypatia." We will do visualizations and contemplative exercises so you learn the technique and can apply it later, on your own or with a partner.

Permanent Culture on the Path: What are we here for anyway?
In a world dying at a rate faster than we’ve seen in history, our shared connection becomes increasingly important. The need to act—impendingly important. Permaculture: a philosophy founded upon the order of nature. We will cover its principles, ethics, practice; look at how these tie into our unique paths; connecting community for greater force! Wisdom of gnosis says we each are here for a purpose. This empirically relies on the premise, we have a “here.” Permaculture is about taking responsibility for our own existence. ‘Tis not of going sustainable or not. Re-wilding the Pagan Soul: Connecting to our Ancestors in Albion
Albion, the ancient name of England, Wales and Cornwall, evokes the mystery of stone structures, burial chambers, sacred groves and holy wells. Biological Towns or Techno Cities?
Two quite different paths to sustainability are developing; can they co-exist? I perceive two radically different approaches to sustainability developing, one of dense, ‘smart’ cities and another of dispersed eco-villages and market towns. Women's Dionysian Initiation - Villa of Mysteries, Pompeii
Before Mount Vesuvius covered Pompeii with ash, a spiritual center flourished near the city, where women experienced profound initiations similar to those of Eleusis, but focused on womanhood. Detailed murals in the hall of initiation illustrated much of the experience. Linda Fierz-David's book shows how this supported individuation in the Jungian sense, and is as relevant now as it was 2,000 years ago. We will discuss the literature, explore the murals, and use active imagination to experience the journey ourselves. All genders welcome. Some mature content. Doors close for trance.

A Hand in the Dark: Psychopomps in an Age of Anxiety

Stemming from a similar root, psychology can be defined as the “study of the soul”, serving to bridge conscious and unconscious awareness. In an age marked by increased anxiety, depression, mental illness, and suicide, this presentation explores the roles and characteristics of these guides through the dark that can offer a sense of direction and hope.

Strong Roots, Wide Branches: Living Polytheism
The old ways are returning. Slumbering gods reawaken, gaining strength and gathering followers. But many of the traditions themselves are incomplete. In addition to religious regard for deities, historically most polytheistic cultures also included ancestor veneration, life cycle rituals, personal ethics, group mores, ways of living on and with the land and its spirits, religious-based artistic expression, and ritual technologies to best do these things. Let’s discuss how we can build, unearth, rediscover, shape and create whole, integrated Polytheist paths.
