Building Consent Culture
Rape culture is the problem; a culture of consent is the answer. With dominant culture as the backdrop, rape culture is nearly comprehensively a feature of developing sexual identity. Coming from the shadow of dominant culture conditioning, we aren't told how to ask for, or offer, clear consent. In this workshop we will talk about consent; how to give it, how to ask for it, and how to play with the process of consenting in a fluid and integrated way. Workshop will be closed 10 minutes after start. Ages 13 and up welcome. Younger kids welcome with parent.

Invoking the Divine - Ritual Invocations
Invocations are a thread between human and the divine – and invocation is a skill that can be learnt and practiced. Effective invocations draw the presence of the Goddess, Deity or other being into the room, the ritual, and even into the person invoking. In this experiential workshop we will learn, step by step, what makes an effective invocation and practice these skills. Experiment with words, tone, pacing and volume as well as gestures, movement and that sense of imminence that is felt in the most powerful invocations. Bring along a Goddess, Deity or other presence you would like to invoke.

We Are Aradia Ritual
These are the times we were made for. The Goddess Diana saw her people were suffering from tyranny. In this pan-traditional ritual we will call on Aradia to once again bring her wisdom to us to fight the tyranny. This ritual is a call to action; it is time to empower everyone who needs it. Sacred Sound: Chanting, Trancing, & Music Techniques for Ritual
Singing, chanting, drumming, and playing instruments are some of the most potent ritual techniques. You can raise energy, hold space, and shift consciousness through music. It’s an easy way to shift consciousness in a group, but music can be intimidating for non-musicians. We’ll explore basic chanting and then begin layering on harmonies, rhythms, instruments, and more. How can you use music in ritual to engage a trance state, to invoke a deity, or weave a spell? Musicians, bring your voices, instruments, and expertise! Those new to music, come prepared to experiment. All skill levels welcome.

1 in 8
One in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. In 2015, I became one of them. “1 in 8” is about grief & fear, love & determination, gratitude & resilience. It’s about shame & anger, hope & humor, community & compassion, mortality & survival. I tell this tale to encourage, inspire, comfort, educate and, yes, to entertain. Creative expression helped me find my way through the fears, ravages and anxieties of cancer treatment. Jazz guitarist Mimi Fox, a sister-survivor, joined me in collaborating on these songs, crafting them into beautiful expressions of each song’s true meaning.

Theurgy, or “god working”, is a branch of magick practiced by some of the brightest minds in the ancient world. It aims at union with the divine. Certain ceremonial magick groups have brought back theurgy, with some practicing a modernized version and others (e.g. Aurum Solis), remaining traditional. The panel believes that theurgy can be used in a very real and practical way to transform individuals to effect social, economic and environmental change, for the benefit of all lifeforms - human and non-human. Pagans use the phrase "as above, so below" to explain the connectedness of our world(s) - but considering recent research into the many other organisms that share our bodies perhaps it's time to add "as without, so within". Honoring the Ancestors of Justice and Strength
The wisdom of the ancestors defy ordinary concepts of guidance and support; it is connection gained through experience and timeless intergenerational knowledge. The Song of the Stars: A Constellation of Unity
Do you yearn for hope and healing? We are unity in diversity…a constellation of stars sailing across the sky. We are an incantation of light reflected across the waves…There shine the dreams we weep to bring into being, the calling screaming in our hearts. Beneath, the depths of ancient waters hold our grief, our fears that we stand alone. Through community and ecstatic ritual, chanting, and trancework, we call to the stars and the depths of our shadows, to the magic burning in our veins. Doors close @ 10 min.

Biological Towns or Techno Cities?
Two quite different paths to sustainability are developing; can they co-exist? I perceive two radically different approaches to sustainability developing, one of dense, ‘smart’ cities and another of dispersed eco-villages and market towns. I suspect that most advocates of each approach are at best mildly aware of the other concept, but choosing wisely bids us understand both well. A summary of the 2 approaches, their advantages and constraints, and how Hestia and Hephaestus, respectively, symbolize these options, will be presented, followed by discussion.

Healing the Community pt 4
A series of community-building discussions and activities created by experienced community workers as response to recent discussions about inclusion/exclusion within the greater Pagan culture and PantheaCon. Each session in the series offers activities that can stand alone (if you can only attend one), or layer together to create a more in-depth experience. The intention is to provide opportunities for us to authentically, respectfully communicate and come away with ways to best meet the needs of our various intersecting communities. Anyone is welcome to any of them.
Monday Focus: We will recap session discussions from weekend and discuss ways that we can make space for the various needs of those within our broad PantheaCon community. What can we do to ensure inclusive space within the convention moving forward? What would you like to see?

A Hand in the Dark: Psychopomps in an Age of Anxiety
Defined in ancient Greek as the “guides of souls”, psychopomps have traditionally bridged the physical and non-physical worlds. Stemming from a similar root, psychology can be defined as the “study of the soul”, serving to bridge conscious and unconscious awareness. In an age marked by increased anxiety, depression, mental illness, and suicide, this presentation explores the roles and characteristics of these guides through the dark that can offer a sense of direction and hope.
